Abstract
An intelligent DC power connection fabric integrates into datacenter infrastructure as a network of high-density smart nodes arranged in a floor or overhead grid. A hardware rack connects to the nearest smart node, and the system automatically senses the rack’s specific power requirements, including voltage, amperage, and phase. The system then negotiates a safe power delivery profile and dynamically routes the corresponding power configuration to that node. This process occurs without manual physical re-wiring, which decouples hardware placement from fixed electrical outlet specifications. This flexible deployment for racks with diverse power needs reduces deployment delays and stranded capacity within the data hall.
