Abstract
A system and methods are provided to optimize the placement of calls on devices in such a way that certain devices can be put into a sleep, idle, or powered down state temporarily, to conserve energy when the device is not processing calls, but to still allow for that device to be 'woken up' in real-time to process a call when needed or presented through the device. This allows for the ability for service provider or enterprise to not sacrifice their device resiliency or service availability posture, but still optimize and conserve energy across a collaboration deployment.
